Virtual therapy sessions, sometimes called Telemental Health or Telehealth, allows you to connect with your therapist through a video conferencing platform (like Zoom) that is HIPAA-compliant. An unmistakable benefit of Telehealth is the greater access to mental health services that it provides.
Some barriers to receiving traditional mental health services include:
-living in rural or remote areas
-physical or mental health conditions that confine people to their home
-lack of childcare
-lack of transportation
-time constraints and busy schedules
-stigma

Research has shown that Telehealth sessions are just as effective as traditional, in-person therapy, and is often more accessible and affordable. Sessions can be done in the privacy of your own home, office, or any environment of choice that feels comfortable and safe. We will use an online, face-to-face HIPAA-compliant platform. This platform provides a convenient and secure connection that is easy to use. All you need is a computer or phone with a microphone and camera, and internet access.
